Shape is everywhere and underpins all aspects of our lives. The beauty of a single circle or a hexagon or square...
Sally's collections are all an expression of the relationship of shapes - how they sit together and repeat. Sally is always curious to see how the repeating of shapes work together to create new shapes.
Sally aims constantly to under design, to allow each piece to be free from unnecessary distractions, while balancing what is necessary to create beauty and what is not.
By exploring the way shape relates to shape, in the collection - Shape on Shape Sally explores the beauty of shapes by placing them together in various and different ways.
In the collection - PDBQ - Sally expresses her personal response to her struggle with shapes in the form of letters due to her dyslexia. These letters danced about for Sally all through life so this collection is a way of controlling these shapes finally!
In the collection - Spiros, Slinks & Jaks - Sally's inspirations come from a childhood memory of shape repetition through play, watching shapes being repeated and repeated and flowing into forming new and diverse shapes.
